More Malaysian buyers now start their research inside ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews and act on the answer they're given, rather than scrolling a page of blue links. AI adoption is climbing and AI Overviews keep expanding across more searches — broad industry trends, not a number I'd pin to your street. What hasn't caught up is the local market: most Malaysian competitors still optimise only for traditional Google rankings, which leaves AI answers wide open. Being the business an AI confidently names — in English or Malay — is one of the few edges almost no one here has claimed yet, which is exactly why claiming it now is worth doing.
